Chronicles of Riddick Vin Diesel sorta acts in the same long tradition of sorta actors Ahnold, Bruce Willis, and even Van Damme going all the way back to John Wayne. They’re always the same character, but it’s a character we like.

Americans love this stuff, and hell, it’s fun, so why not. The film has it’s moments, but I think they should have left in the +1 hour of footage rumored to be on the floor so that the mythology doesn’t seem so shallow.
